The assessment was based upon various aspects of our company such as Health & Safety, financial position, training, insurance levels, quality accreditation as well as a selection of references from our customers.

SAFEcontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the Health & Safety competency of contractors and service providers. Clients have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate in a safe way.
There is therefore a need to assess contractors Health & Safety arrangements and increasingly this is being carried out through SAFEcontractor. Highmanor Construction Ltd comply with all the requirements set down by SAFEcontractor and offer all our clients the peace of mind that comes with this association.

East Midlands Property Alliance (EMPA) has been formed by Local Authorities in the East Midlands to improve the delivery of property services to the local communities and Highmanor Construction Ltd has been vetted and passed as service providers by the EMPA framework.
Street Works
Highmanor Construction Ltd employees have been fully trained and meet the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) which are made up of a number of units covering the work activities involved in Street works. Whether operatives are setting up traffic management or excavating and reinstating the highway, an appropriate training certificate is required to complete such works.
The main purpose of the New Roads & Street Works Act is to standardise all highways work to ensure the highways authorities, utilities companies and service providers co-ordinate their work activities. This will lead to increased Road Safety, reducing disruption and minimising congestion to the general public and road users.

The Buy With Confidence Scheme brings together a list of businesses from all over Nottinghamshire which have been individually checked for trustworthiness and compliance with consumer protection laws. Officers from Trading Standards visited Highmanor Construction Ltd to vet our business activities and only when we passed their stringent checks were we accepted into the scheme and allowed to display the Trading Standards Approved logo.
Environment Agency Registration
Highmanor Construction Ltd is registered with the Environment Agency under the controlled waste (Registration of carriers and seizure of vehicles) regulations 1991. We are registered to carry controlled waste on our vehicles to landfill sites or waste transfer stations.
Highmanor Construction Ltd is committed to reducing the amount of waste materials disposed of in this manner. We have an active policy of recycling materials whenever possible and the procurement of self-sustaining, site consumable materials where possible. Combining this with the stream lining of our activities on-site enables us to reduce our footprint and the impact that we may have on our environment.
